Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Six-month dental checkups and cleanings are the standard forms of preventive oral care. Usually, the “checkup” portion consists of an oral exam, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening. These steps let Dr. Shroff detect and treat oral issues before a severe problem occurs. (If something is already wrong, our office will tell you and draft a custom treatment plan in response.) When the checkup work is done, the visit ends with a teeth polishing that cleans and freshens your grin, as well as topical fluoride to protect and strengthen your teeth.

Children’s Dentistry

Dr. Shroff loves welcoming children into our office, so you’re welcome to bring your kids to come see us. When you do, Dr. Shroff will treat them with warmth, gentleness, and respect. His standard services for kiddos are dental checkups, teeth cleanings, and topical fluoride. Through these options, he’ll address (and stop) any oral issues your youngster may face. He’ll also end each visit with tips and tricks your children can use at home. Don’t forget to ask us for a coin for our special toy machine!

Fluoride Treatment

Dr. Shroff sometimes suggests fluoride treatment after a teeth cleaning, especially for more cavity-prone patients. This service applies a moderate amount of fluoride – a helpful mineral – to your smile. This usually takes the form of a gel, foam, or solution. In doing so, it strengthens your tooth enamel and protects it against bacteria. It thus results in a grin that's much less likely to suffer decay or cavities.

Athletic Mouthguards/ Sportsguards

Physical games – basketball, baseball, football, soccer, etc. – often lead to dental injuries, such as chipped and knocked-out teeth. Of course, you can avoid these and other mishaps with an athletic mouthguard. Wearing this item over your upper teeth would protect your smile during games. From there, you could play hard without worrying about your smile.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Are you suffering from chronic jaw pain or worn teeth? If so, you may be grinding or clenching your teeth at night. This condition erodes your enamel and even chips your teeth when left unchecked. To compensate, your best bet is one of our office’s custom-made night guards. You’d wear this appliance over your teeth at night as you sleep. Doing so will keep your upper and lower teeth from meeting each other in a harmful way. As a result, your smile won’t get worn down any further.

TMJ Treatment

For Dr. Shroff, the jaw is just as important as the teeth. As such, he’s equipped to treat patients with TMJ disorders. That means he can ease your aching jaw and similar jaw-related symptoms.

For TMJ treatment, Dr. Shroff utilizes occlusal splints as a non-invasive treatment option. These devices are special mouthguards that reduce muscle tension in the face. By wearing one, your jaw joints will face less pressure and be able to relax.
